Europa League play offs

Interesting week for the Hammers in Europe starting this evening with the Europa League play offs. These are the teams that dropped down from the CL and those that finished second in the Europa League group.
We won our group so direct into the round of 16 in March with 7 other seeded teams. On Friday next week we will know our opponents to picked from the likes of Barcelona, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and RB Leipzig
Strange to think the Hammers go into that round as a seeded team with Barcelona (Should they prevail v Napoli) as possible unseeded opponents

Yeah you're right Barcelona given free access to carry on despite all those financial penalties. How the heck have they been allowed to get so many players in .

I'm not totally against clubs dropping into the EL and kind of accepted it about 20 fucking years ago, but I suppose it's all about the money as usual, and it does leave a bit of a bad taste if one of the drop down teams wins the thing, like Chelsea a few years ago.

It IS a nonsense and destroys the integrity of the competition.
Teams that have a go in the Champions league have enough games to not need to double dip and have a second go at the Europa.
Of course it will never happen because ££££££ but all these cups should be open draws and no league systems.
128 teams ... all in a bag and draw them out , none of this seeding and exemptions and you cant play this or that. Two legs , loser goes home. Repeat til the final.

daveyg - That's not what I mean.. I mean it's shit because I think those that lose in the CL shouldn't gatecrash a cup because of it.
Which results in the unseeded teams being better than the seeded ones, it's a fucking farce I didn't mean the quality of the opposition is shit. Just the rich being guaranteed to have European games even if they fail.. Celtic played in all three competitions.

In a way the worst possible draw.
They'll forget La Liga now not going to win that.
All the best teams seem to be the ones unseeded. Weird that.
Get through this then the winners of the Rangers v Crevena.

Disappointed in the sense that they are a really tough draw but not quite as great an opportunity to go to see us play Barca. If we'd drawn one of the hardest teams I'd have preferred Barca.
But still, good day out.
Now what are the Spanish regulations about crowds in stadia?
